In 2004 the Aureos South-East Asia Fund (ASEAF) was launched. ASEAF has capital commitments from bilateral and multilateral institutions, and co-investment commitments from local institutions. In 2006 the Kula Fund II (Kula II) was launched, investing in the lower range of the SME market segment in the Pacific Islands. The Aureos China Fund focuses on investments in the fast developing area of Shandong Province (www.aureos.com.cn ). In July 2007 Aureos established the Aureos Malaysia Fund, focusing on SME investments in Malaysia. In January 2008, the US$25m Aureos Brunei Fund was established, targetting private sector small and medium sized businesses based in Brunei.
