Jacob Kholi

Jacob Kholi is Managing Partner of Aureos West Africa Fund, a US50 million private equity fund investing in the ECOWAS region, with Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal as the primary target countries. The Fund has currently invested/committed over US$38 million in 10 portfolio companies.
Jacob joined CDC Group (from which Aureos emerged in 2001) in 1995 as a senior investment analyst with Aureos Ghana Advisers Limited, formerly Venture Fund Management Company (VFMC).
Through his experience at VFMC, which was then managing the Ghana Venture Capital Fund and Enterprise Fund, Jacob gained first-hand knowledge of managing private equity mid-cap investments, from deal sourcing to exiting.
Prior to joining the CDC Group, Jacob worked for Shell in Ghana as a financial accountant and later management accountant.
He holds a B.Sc. Administration (Accounting) degree from the University of Ghana Business School and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), having trained with KPMG in Ghana. Jacob is currently completing (July 2007) his project work with the Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM) as part of his Executive MBA (International Business) study programme.
